To mark World Water Day 2018, WWF-Pakistan hosted a panel discussion on the issue of the mismanagement of resources in the country. This could be in the form of nature-based solutions to reduce floods, droughts and water pollution and protect ecosystems.

"The central message is that NBS, such as planting trees to replenish forests, reconnecting rivers to floodplains, and restoring wetlands, is a sustainable and cost-effective way to help rebalance the water cycle, mitigate the effects of climate change and improve human health and livelihoods", the organization said. This does not even count the funds needed for operations and maintenance for the continued use of a proper water project. This summer, world leaders will convene at the United Nations to review the progress made on Global Goal 6; to deliver water and decent toilets to everyone, everywhere by 2030. At last, treat yourself to be a sustainable water breaker to celebrate this world water day.
