Nokia 10 May Now Be the Nokia 8 Pro with Penta-camera & Snapdragon 845
Continuing Nokia's confusing naming tradition, HMD Global has decided not to change their names. So expectations are running high for the upcoming event. That's a bit of a worry given the amount of time that has elapsed since the first one was unveiled at last year's mobile technology show in Barcelona. But that's not all.
In previous years, this conference has become famous for being the place where all of the major smartphone manufacturers launch their new flagship devices, with a slew of announcements and news from the likes of HTC, Motorola, LG and others. It will have a glass back and an in-screen fingerprint sensor, plus a water repellent coating. Underneath it is a curved 5.5-inch 2K POLED display. The Galaxy S9 will also have smaller bezels and Samsung will retain Bixby in this model.
The Nokia 1 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 chipset and has a 1500mAh battery along with the 3.5mm jack.
At least the Nokia 8 looks the part in terms of the rest of its spec sheet. It comes with 128GB of onboard storage. It is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat. Google Assistant also has a Go version that allows for making phone calls, sending messages, playing music and checking the weather. Those dual cameras might be brilliant, but there are plenty of other manufacturers offering a dual-camera setup.
Connectivity options on Nokia 1 include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and Micro USB 2.0. ZTE Blade V9 is expected to be priced at Rs 19,999. Unlike last year's 3310 remake, this version also features wifi. The company has totally overhauled the design with the upgraded version and as you read on, you will find that there are more than a few differences separating the original Nokia 8 released past year and the Nokia 8 Sirocco. On a combined basis, Nokia now ranks as the No. 6 mobile phone seller, Counterpoint calculates. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The company also announced the Xpress-on interchangeable covers for the Nokia 1 smartphone. That said, the flagship is 7.5mm in width at its thickest portion.
"But the reality is that if you've got to build a phone for a certain price point, that level of mechanical complexity would have made it too expensive". The 4GB RAM should be sufficient for a smooth operation of Android 8.0 Oreo. The 6-inch Full-HD+ 18:9 screen provides a compact format that photography enthusiasts will be pleased with.
