Above freezing temperatures is good news -- another round of showers comes in this evening, likely in time for your commute home. This will cause several slick roads and some ice-coated vehicle windshields in the morning.

Forecasters at the Weather Service's Portland office say that snow showers will be decreasing this morning from north to south.
Most of the rain is expected to move out of the state before sunrise with a drier day ahead tomorrow. A couple snow flurries may try to sneak in as the rain leaves early Sunday, but don't look for much beyond a dusting if anything. Chicago saw 2.1 inches of rain and Rockford had 1.2 inches.

A wintry mix of precipitation will begin later in the evening, and continue into Friday morning. By noon, temperatures should warm above freezing roughly east of I-35, ending the freezing precipitation threat.
All of Southern Oregon woke up this morning to varying degrees of snow after a cold weather system rolled into the region for the second straight night. Some of the precipitation may fall as sleet, particularly in northern Oklahoma. "We are expecting 1/10" to 1/4" of ice and some of this will be sleet, which does not stick to power lines. There is a chance of seeing more icing, though major ice accumulations are not expected.
Flood warnings remained in effect for parts of northern, eastern and central IL after heavy rains combined with melting snow soaked the region.
