False And Defamatory? Harvey Weinstein Apologizes, But Attorney Charles Harder Says The Sexual Harassment Claims Aren't True
Amid news of years of sexual harassment allegations against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, questions arose about his relationship with former President Barack Obama and his family - most notably daughter Malia, who interned at Weinstein's company in NY.
Weinstein's attorney Charles J. Harder said in a statement that the story is "saturated with false and defamatory statements about Harvey Weinstein".
"I've done a lot of cases on behalf of women and I've often thought, 'Gee, I wish I could get on the other side and smack that guy around a little bit, verbally, '" Bloom said. I'm going to tellyou what to do.

While his lawyer has stated 'he denies numerous accusations as patently false, ' a statement sent to the NYT by Weinstein admits to something.
Lawyers for Weinstein said that numerous allegations were false and that a lawsuit was being prepared. "I'll stand up to him, but if I'm a 23-year-old in his workplace, of course, they're intimidated".
At the time, Sivan claims Weinstein attempted to kiss her, causing her to pull away and tell him she was in a relationship. However, she insists she is not attacking Weinstein's accusers, who include actress Ashley Judd.
Weinstein added that he respected all women and hoped for him to be given a second chance.
Rose McGowan, who reached a settlement with Weinstein in 1997 - which, according to the agreement, was not given out as an admission of guilt, but to "avoid litigation and buy peace", which was reviewed by The Times - tweeted: 'Anyone who does business with _ is complicit.
"I said no, a lot of ways, a lot of times, and he always came back at me with some new ask", she said.
Stephanopoulos said that it is not only gross, but it is illegal.
In the revealing report, eight women, including Judd, spoke about their past interactions with Weinstein, all claiming he behaved inappropriately towards them during what were supposed to be work meetings.
"The DNC will donate over $30,000 in contributions from Weinstein to EMILY's List, Emerge America and Higher Heights because what we need is more women in power", DNC communications director Xochitl Hinojosa said in a statement. "I don't know if there's a real significant difference to most people, but sexual harassment is severe and pervasive".
