All 3 billion Yahoo accounts hacked in 2013 data breach

Yahoo says all 3 billion accounts affected by 2013 data breach
Yahoo has confirmed that a 2013 data breach affected all 3 billion of its accounts - three times the number previously reported.
Revealing a year ago that its one billion user accounts were affected by a data breach in 2013, Yahoo has now announced that all of its users - almost 3 billion at that time - were impacted by the massive data breach. The information leaked as a result of this hack didn't include paswords in text, credit card or bank information. Oath (the Verizon company that owns Yahoo) has said that it will begin notifying the other 2 billion users over the course of next few days but we doubt its usefulness.
So basically it looks like all of the Yahoo accounts were affected.
Verizon boughtYahoo in a $4.5 billion deal, which closed in June, folding the Yahoo properties into AOL and giving the new company the name Oath.
Companies often don't know the full extent of a breach and have to revise statements about how it affects customers years later, said Ben Johnson, co-founder and chief technology officer for Obsidian Security, based in Newport Beach, California.
"Yahoo also invalidated unencrypted security questions and answers so they can not be used to access an account".
A cyberattack in 2013 compromised data of all 3 billion Yahoo users, the internet company's parent said on Tuesday.
The breach was first made public as Yahoo prepared for its sale to the telecommunications giant Verizon.
The price Verizon paid for the Yahoo businesses was cut by $350m after both the 2013 and 2014 data breaches were revealed. Yahoo required every user to change their password if they had not already done so, since the time of the theft.

Twins slugger Miguel Sano not on roster for wild-card game
The Twins were desperately close to a two-games-to-none series lead when Hunter hit a solo homer in the top of the 12th. The Yankees are led by Aaron Judge (1.049 OPS, 52 HRs, 114 RBIs), who set a rookie record for home runs this season.
