When Maria hit Puerto Rico on Wednesday, it was the third-strongest storm to make landfall in the USA, based on its central pressure.
At least six people have been reported dead so far in the most powerful storm to strike Puerto Rico since 1932. From there they will fly to Georgia to stand by for potential follow-up missions.
"Also got people from other islands going to Puerto Rico that they're taking care of because their islands got destroyed", said Chito Olivencia, community leader.
The impact of Hurricane Maria caused significant damage to Puerto Rico's infrastructure. "We'll go in and if there's a runway and a ramp, we'll set up an airbase and start bringing in recovery supplies", Campbell said.
While Puerto Rico tries to recover from the widespread damage caused by Hurricane Maria last week, dozens of Israelis remain stuck on the island.
The entire island has been declared a federal disaster zone. Flooding blocked major highways and roads for days, making travel hard in some parts of the island and impossible in others.

More than 95% of the wireless cell sites are now out of service, the island's Federal Communications Commission said Saturday.
Crucial supplies are expected to land Friday in ravaged Puerto Rico.
Two JetBlue Airways planes with relief supplies - one of them also carrying New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo - also landed on the island, a JetBlue spokesman said.
After lamenting that Puerto Rico had been "absolutely obliterated" by Maria, US President Donald Trump spoke with Governor Rossello Thursday night and promised to speed up relief efforts. "We've tried everything we know about", Inez Quinones said. "The devastation in Puerto Rico has set us back almost 20 to 30 years", said Puerto Rico Resident Commissioner Jenniffer Gonzalez.
