Yogi Adityanath government has reportedly asked for a report on this incident within 24 hours. Meanwhile, according to data procured from the BRD hospital, in past five days - from August 7 to August 11, a total of 60 deaths have occurred in the hospital.
"The parents of children who died must get compensation".
A high-level magisterial probe has been ordered into the incident.
Neonatal and encephalitis wards are reported most deaths.
The deceased, including newborns, were admitted at Baba Raghav Das Hospital in Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's hometown of Gorakhpur. Some 40,000 children have died of the disease in the past four decades in the region.
