ORLANDO | A child of three years was found dead Monday night in a vehicle exposed to the sun in Orlando Florida.

"He had to lose his life because of someone's neglect".

"We want to know if this if this really how he died we want to make sure that if it was heat that killed him we want to know that". The day care employee had dropped all the children at the day care at around 9 a.m. on Monday and parked the van in the parking lot.

He added: "This is your worst nightmare come true".

Wearing dark sunglasses and sobbing loudly, Thornton directed her pleas toward members of Myles' family. But the child never got out of the van. The day care employee will face criminal charges, he said, after an autopsy is concluded. "You work in a day care", Alice Williams said.

Officers found the boy inside the van, and he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

Myles was eventually found at 8.30pm after his grandmother called police and the Academy demanding to know where the youngster was because he had not been dropped off at her home.

The guardian called the day care at about 8 p.m. and then called 911.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina during a press conference this morning. Relatives told local news outlets that the boy would have turned 4 on August 22. Its owners Audrey and Bryant Thornton have not commented publicly on the incident. The deficiency was corrected at the time of the July 11 inspection, the report says.

Thornton also begged the community for forgiveness and asked that they learn to trust her again.

She depicted Myles as a keen and friendly kid, who might demonstrate to her generally accepted methods to play a race-auto diversion on his tablet.

If that is confirmed, Myles will be the 32nd child this year to die in a hot auto in the U.S. The child is "preschool-aged", officials said. "How are they going to leave a child". The worker who didn't count heads is cooperating with investigators and is distraught, Mina said.

Carroll said the department is conducting its own "thorough investigation,"and assisting in a criminal investigation".

Little Miracles Academy has been previously found not following rules created to protect children, according to records from the Florida Department of Children and Families reviewed by local media.

The problem was fixed right away, according to records.

Those instances were two of five violations found during DCF inspections since 2015, according to a review by The Orlando Sentinel.

Authorities have not released any other information on the child. Records show the Thorntons filed in 2009 to open the business.

Thornton said the driver has been fired. "I'm so sorry just give me a chance to talk to you and explain what happened". "It's just a must".

At a candlelight vigil, the mother remembered her young son, as she fought back tears.
