Cristiano Ronaldo who apparently wants to leave the Spanish club

Cristiano Ronaldo LATEST Bayern Munich rubbish claims they are interested in signing Real Madrid star

Bayern Munich have rubbished reports they are set to swoop for world superstar Cristiano Ronaldo - with the German giants' chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insisting it's pure fantasy.

The Portuguese global was signed by Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 for a then world record fee of £80 million.

French club PSG are seen as the favourite for the Portuguese player keeping their financial strength but CR7 himself wants to return to his last club Manchester United.

Ronaldo's advisers, though, have been told to find him a new club outside Spain because he is angry after being accused of evading tax of £14.7m between 2011 and 2014.

As such, the forward has made clear his position to Florentino Perez, the Real Madrid president, and is now "determined" to leave Spain.

The storm has gone on while Portugal are preparing for the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation - their first game coming against Mexico on Sunday - but Ronaldo's global colleague Andre Silva insists his captain is concentrating on the task at hand.

Ronaldo spent six years at the club between 2003 and 2009, scoring 118 goals in 292 appearances for the Red Devils while winning three Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy amongst countless other pieces of silverware.

Marca also reported that Sergio Ramos had called Ronaldo to ask him to stay.

However, looking at the latest odds, the 32-year-old is in fact odds on (2/5) to remain at the Bernabeu.

There has been speculation that Ronaldo is trying to put pressure on Real so that they will bear some of the burden of an eventual fine as Barcelona did for Lionel Messi. As one of the world's top players, Ronaldo will be hot property should he manage to engineer a move from Madrid.

Since Mourinho is keen to sign Alvaro Morata, also from Real Madrid, United are ready to bid £184 million plus De Gea for Morata and Cristiano.
