Games like Hey Pikmin!, Metroid:Samus Returns and PokemonUltra Sun & PokemonUltra Moon are all set to launch this year, meaning that 3DS owners still have a lot to look forward to. The official social media accounts for Nintendo have posted an image that shows off "a look at just some of the games" heading to the Nintendo Switch and 3DS this year. Nintendo also revealed a new game for the Metroid series, which is popular in the USA, as well as the development of a role-playing game for the Pokemon franchise.
Fils-Aime made it clear that though the Nintendo Switch is a portable console, it is a home console and not a replacement for what Nintendo wants to accomplish with the 3DS and 2DS.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has been busy fielding press interviews and this time he was cornered by Kotaku. We're aware of requests around cloud saves or file management, we're certainly aware of all the requests for legacy content, we're aware of consumers asking for ways to have multiple devices linked to one particular account, we're aware of all of those.
We don't know whether Nintendo fully believes a phone can deliver a better voice chat experience than their own console could have, but this statement has me anxious either way.
They teased a brand new Pokémon game, which some people have nicknamed "Pokémon Stars".

Schiff Says Congress Won't Allow President To Fire Mueller
The removal, should it happen, would surely be just as controversial - if not even more so - than Trump's decision to fire Comey. He added, "Director Mueller is going to have the full independence he needs to conduct that investigation appropriately".
