Pokemon Stars To Be First Pokemon Game On Console?

17 Junio 2017, 03:59 | Benedicto Grullon

Nintendo took to their E3 2017 presentation with quite a few games up their sleeve. Wednesday's stream included Pokkén Tournament DX and Splatoon 2 tournaments as well as game demonstrations of Super Mario Odyssey and Yoshi, all of which you can find archived on Nintendo's YouTube channel. I want to participate.

Nine days ago, Pokemon fans were disappointed that "Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon" won't be making it to the Nintendo Switch. Metroid Prime 4, meanwhile, has no release date yet. The sequel is one of the Switch's upcoming tentpoles, as is "Arms", a 3D fighting game where combatants do battle with long, springy appendages. I suspect Nintendo will make that decision when it has sold tens of millions more Switch. One of the biggest complaints about the Switch and its online capabilities is that it does not supporting saving games to the cloud, even though that is a feature of the 3DS.

Minecraft is also being remade for 4K resolution to the joy of many, while Terry Crews lent his abilities to the futuristic open-world shooter game Crackdown 3. When E3 started Nintendo went ahead and shocked us all by confirming that a "Core" Pokemon title is indeed coming to the Switch but it may not release for a year.

As for games, fans can expect new releases well into 2018.

YouTube/NintendoA still from the "Metroid Prime 4" first trailer. It also was great to that third-party hits like "Skyrim" and "Fifa" actually are coming to Switch. This is something Nintendo have knowingly been lacking for a while. After the Wii U flopped, Nintendo should be humbled and willing to reach out. "But they'll always take it with them".

E3 is weird. Everyone involved is expected to deliver a satisfying blend of what's just around the corner, and what's years down the road. Its first title was launched in 1986 on the Nintendo Entertainment System. You can see the schedule, highlights from the previous streams and watch the stream itself on Nintendo's E3 website. It is unlikely we will see any surprise announcements later this year.

The key thing here is that competitive gaming is a broader segment: It's something everyone does, be they professional esports gamers or you and your family or friends.

"I think two of the results of that are perhaps that this is a more welcoming fighting game", he said. Once again, the company opted for a prerecorded 30-minute Nintendo Direct stream, filled with announcements and gameplay footage. The pro controller won't turn on as its battery dead from lack of use.
